Aquasonic – Fungonex
Fungal infections are common in freshwater fish and are typically identified by white or grey thread-like patches on the skin or fins. As the infection progresses, these areas can thicken into small cotton-wool–like tufts (about pinhead size) on the body and fins. Without prompt treatment, fungal disease can lead to significant losses.
Directions for Use
-
Not for use on fish intended for human consumption.
-
Perform a 25% partial water change before starting treatment.
-
Ensure the aquarium is well aerated throughout treatment.
-
Remove activated carbon from the filtration system, as it will absorb the product and reduce effectiveness.
-
This product contains a dye that may stain if spilled—handle with care.
Dose Rate
-
Add 5 mL per 20 litres of aquarium water.
-
For sensitive species—such as Tetras, juvenile fish, and scaleless species (e.g., loaches)—use the reduced rate of 5 mL per 40 litres.
-
Repeat the treatment after 3 days, if required.
To calculate tank volume:
Multiply length × width × water level height (in cm), then divide by 1,000 to obtain the volume in litres.
